cheap-thrill rides; board games; card games; food-fest; laughters and giggles and the dorkiest company (and i mean hippy too)
what else could i ask for?
i squeezed in a movie slot on sunday; 945pm.
two cars, three girls, three guys and bridget jones diary.
gabriel and myself; hayley and merv; joycelyn and julius.
it was zsazsazsu!

later in the day which turned out to be monday, it was moreee scheduling.
headed to work in the early morning and after totally knocking off work, it was shopping with jo.
thenthenthen more rushing home to redo my makeup before taxi-ing with merv and hayl to meet julius and gabriel at some jamming centre.
alright, so we were early; all of us headed to the hawker's to get something to drink and eat before the guys jammed for an hour.
after, with the absence of gabriels' car, we travelled in julius bangbus to town for dinner.
bangbus; don't mess : )
got us thinking, so we travelled bangbus home with a bag load of twisties and classic chips and the largest bottle of coke.
to where?
to a table of UNO cards and a monopoly board.
that's where the fun began.
YES, we paired up and of course there had to be leftout.
merv with hayl and gabriel with me against juls (the government)
i had to say, me and gabriel were the richest amongst the lot.
we owned the best of the best properties and earned the most of the most cash.
let's say we were fucking rich.
our rent were sky high and we could pile our money.
we felt like paris hilton :)

and today, we are going to do just the same.
monopoly and UNO and dinner, here we come!
we'll just have to wait till 5 till my gabriels here :(

.heart.

OMG.
something mich found on an online forum which i find highly amusing and perhaps every inch, a fact.
alright, it's basically an experience that an NTU student had when she paid zara a visit in the afternoon of a weekday during it's first local opening in ngee ann city.
and i do not beg to differ that it has changed in anyway.

the ladies' fitting room;
the queue for the fitting room was painfully long due to flocks of bargain hunting lunchtime crowd.
the area outside the fitting rooms was in a phenomenal mess.
molehills of clothes, which were rejected after fitting, were piled on tables. hangers were dumped in one corner and the harried-looking sales assistants looked like they were in a perpetual crisis.

hola, you could say perpetual crisis. phenomenal mess and molehills of clothes again!

on the customer service;
forget about asking for help from the sales assistants.
they looked flustered, maintaining order among the fitting room queue while packing boxes of clothes at the same time.
honestly, you can't blame them but i thought they could be more helpful.

i beg to differ please.
and more honestly, you definately can't blame the staff.
just look deeper into the attitudes of the shopper.
more more and more importantly, a singaporean shopper.
i can say with ease that they're super self-centered and very much inconciderate.

here's my forum, dig that.

.heart.

a few meaningful lines; somehow.

lover's in love, and the other's run away,
lover is crying 'cause the other won't stay.

i will be ignored
and i will be denied
and i could be erased
i could be brushed aside
and i will get scared
and i will get shoved down
but i feel like i do because you push me around.

i'm starting to ignore you
i doubted you so long
i'm tired of over-thinking
i know we don't belong
now i'm asking questions
no one pushes me around
everybody feels this ways sometimes
everybody feels this way
you can't hear it but i do
you don't seem angry but i do

fatigue fills in.
morning shift and numerous SIGHS.

so i've resigned zara and i've quite gotten over it; QUITE.
YES, the sadness weighs down on me when my mind starts to linger.
the supersupersuper early mornings, the never-ending bus journey filled with the employed, the non-stop ranting, definately the staff, the cheap thrill of having to look at your favourite clothings in the boutique and not being able to afford even the cheapest, the hour break and of course in the inpatientness in wanting to get home.
then again, i miss all our private jokes; AHHHH.

sososo, i'm 'slogging' it out with emporio armani/club 21.
it's the total opposite of sloggging, i tell you.
in a way, it's a major turnover from my previous.
here's a breakdown; go figure:

[zara] i foldfoldfold the whole day and the only time i'm not touching clothes is during my hour break.
it's no sitting nor chilling.
you're on your feet as long as you're on your shift.
there is not even a slight minute to destress.
maybe there's a minute or two to spare on private jokes but after, it'll be back to folding.
the time we get off work, would depend on the mess in the shop.
if i'd tell you 1130 at night, you can do the math.
the managers are not the least bit helpful be it in the shop or planning our weekly schedules.
basically, it boils down to stress in the end of the day and fatigue.
here's the deal, $5 an hour.

[emporio armani] i slackslackslack the whole day.
i do 1% of the folding as compared to zara, so practically it's near to nothing.
we speak loudly to each other during work since there's only 2 to 3 people patronizing our shop.
the good part, they don't try on the clothes and are only browsing.
we do have our private jokes yes.
my hour break still remains.
the staff are hillarious :)
i get to take time off to walk to the tailor when needed and that means still getting paid.
an outside advantage: apparently there's a g*star jeans outlet right beside us and guess what, an influx of cute guys working.
my working hours are acceptable.
and here's a better deal, $6.

HA, so you go do the math and figure.
i'd say the latter is better :)
hokaydokey, i need sleep.

HA, i can finally breathe easy again.
i tendered my resignation; i'm so over and out with zara.
i'd thought it'll be all glam and the pay would be a big bonus, but i guess i was so wrong about it.
glam; maybe.
the big bonus; a total opposite.

i'm suspecting peanuts when they've settled all the salary figuring.
apparently, i'm missing my zara staff :(
nothing can describe them.
they eased everything and anything; from the customers being a livingg hell to the mountainous pile of clothes and the awful late nights of ending at elevenn thirty at night.
i feel the sadness and pain leaving them; really i do.

apart from the guilt, i had an awesome 4-hour day with joleen.
the unpuntual libra turned up twenty minutes off.
i apologise leo.
she job applied and lied.
chinese, fluent?
binged on hot and cold food.
sausages to ice cream to tuttifrutti waffles to smelly chicken to her tea and eggs.
we bitched.
gold-chained butches are a turn off.
and i'm buying you the 365 dollar polo ralph shirt.
NOT.

alright, my continued entry will be up later in the day :)
it's needful rest and work early afternoon.

sudden but miraculous off day from work.
twenty minutes inspection with berty.
late night talk with jeremy; reminiscing on the bitter sweet past.
afternoon-ed with dee and jeremy.
we were the perfect trio; we bitched

f a b u l o u s; it's a necessity to have more of these.

there are the certainly positive reasons for working and then again there are the dead rotten ones chucked aside.
the week's past fast; faster then i thought.
maybe it's due to the long sloggish hours at work; but then again i've hardly been taking note of the time.
that's unless it's seconds nearing my break slot.

work's been good, work's been bad.
the absolute positive: it's a cheap thrill just having to serve a customer.
you know where'd you scurry into the stock room to get a new piece or check on a different size.
then there's the crazycrazycrazy colleagues that keep my on my feet and chinned up.
apartt from that, 'eye-candy' slithers around pretty often ;)

the chucked negative: the inconciderate-ness of humans.
nevermind the unfolding or the unhanging of the clothes but a simple job of turning the shirts outside in (not inside out), seems to be the most difficult part of being in the fitting room.
then you'd have the on-vacation no-lifes who'd come into zara to try on clothes for the sake of killing time; gee but why not go catch a movie instead of tiring me out.
and NO they don't bring in a piece or two but it could be the maximum of six which really gets me burning.
FUCK.
enough for now.

nenghui;
girl, my chin's getting pretty heavy alright.
trying to keep it up seems a bigbigbig job to accomplish.
i'm physically and mentally tired out.
then again, i've no one to comfort me and support me when i get home.
you'd know likeee a loving boyfriend ;)
HAHA.

joleenlohsingyi;
thank you sosososososososososososo much for THAT very phone call.
without you, i'd be there till twelve.
HOLD ON.

finally; two days off from work.
it may seem like oh-nothing but it's a great big deal to me.
i've beeen slogging it out during my damned afternoon shifts.
on the bright side, there's no early mornings without breakfast.
i've been eating and drinking waywayway lesser then usual.
i eat a meal a day since i leave out my lunch break and there's only dinner i go for.
drinking has reduced from litres to millilitres.
i'm happyhappyohhappy.
but on the hell hell side of everything, my work hours could depend on the mess in the shop.
and knowing the inconciderate people we have in singapore, i could end as late as 1130 on a weekday.
that itself is a total bummer.
it gets as bad on the weekdays and the weekends are just unexplainable.
i'd be guessing 12 plus on the weekends since the shop would be more patronized by young brats on vacation.
YES, i didn't know how it felt like when my friends and i would kill time by patronizing zara to only try on more then three pieces of clothing into the fitting rooms; and to only bring them out unhung and many.
NO, i didn't understand why the sales staff would exchange a dirty stare.
YES, i thought it would be a simple job of folding or hanging and that's about it?
what could be more simple then that?
YES, i currently understand fully how it feels like to be in the shoes of the sales staff.
YES, i do exchange the dirtiest looks and swearings and cursings.
NO, the folding and hanging isn't all that simple as it looks.
there's more to it after.
YES, i thought a boutique ran smoothly like yoghurt but hell was i wrong.
i've briefings before my shift starts and briefings after work ends which i'd be to lazy to pay attention to.
clearing up after closing time; i'd do it barefoot since my legs feel like stone after a whole long day.
i feel like absolute shit at the end of the day.
what goes through my mind?
"quit quit quit quit quit; take whatever you've earned and leave!"

SIGH, afternoon shifts are a killer especially when i've filled it up this whole week.
there's absolutely no space for free time on saturday!
miraculously and coincidentally, i'd be spending that sloggish hours with janet.
i can and cannot wait for that day.
tomorrow tells me i need another nail-paint job.

i need the salary; i've picked out a few pretty outfits i'm ready to splurge on.
a guess bag; a particular one.
a mexican looking black top from where i work.
a new mobile.
a haircut possibly.
a christmas list.

xoxo\
